Peg House
The Peg House proposes a novel residential concept echoing the inherent modularity of the pegboard. This user-centric design utilizes a sustainable, interlocking wooden component system that integrates with a pre-drilled grid within walls and floors. Much like a pegboard, this grid becomes a dynamic framework where residents can actively configure spaces and furniture, fostering adaptability and eliminating the need for fixed elements.
Strategically placed perforations throughout the structure allow for natural light and ventilation, while also facilitating the movement of utilities for flexible layouts. The design prioritizes a connection with nature by integrating seamlessly with the surrounding environment. Rainwater harvesting promotes self-sufficiency.
By deconstructing the idea of static spaces, the Peg House offers a glimpse into a future of adaptable, sustainable housing that empowers residents to shape their living environment.
